
Xuanwu Gate, Nanjing
7. Nanjing - Xuanwu Gate & Nanjing Olympic Sports Center
The
Xuanwu Gate was built by Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang in the Ming Dynasty. The
Nanjing Olympic Sports Center, completed on Jul. 5th 2005, is the
stadium built for the 10th National Games.

Anshun Corridor Bridge, Chengdu
8. Chengdu - Anshun Corridor Bridge
Built
around 1680, Marco Polo is said to have visited this bridge during his
travels in China. He ranked it among the four most impressive bridges
he’d ever seen.

Leifeng Pagoda, Hangzhou
9. Hangzhou - Leifeng Pagoda
The
pagoda is located in front of Jingci Temple at the foot of Rihui Hill,
Nanping Mountain, on the south bank of West Lake. It is said that the
pagoda was built by the Wuyue King in celebration of Concubine Huang
giving birth to his son. Thus, it was originally called “Concubine
Huang’s Pagoda”. However, it is called as “Leifeng Pagoda” among the
people because it is built on Leifeng Mountain Range. The pagoda used
to have seven layers splendid layers with multiple eaves.

Yellow Crane Tower, Wuhan
10. Wuhan - Yellow Crane Tower
This
famous pagoda-like tower offers visitors a view of the Yangtze river.
It’s considered one of the Four Great Towers and thanks to many
reconstructions, some of them recent, it is now built out of modern
materials and features an elevator.
